I have always been interested in fitness from a child I was always very active. Once I started to work, I ended up in an office job which I really diddn't enjoy, it just wasn't for me, so, in 1994, I trained with the London Central YMCA and gained my first qualification to teach aerobics, and thats where it all began.
I really enjoyed teaching classes and decided to go on and study for further qualifications, so I could give up my office job and work full time in fitness. After qualifiying to teach in a gym and PT, I spent a number of years of working in various clubs and gyms to gain my experience, and then when the time was right, I decided to go out on my own, set up community classes and offer personal training.
My fitness protfolio, has expanded somewhat since then, I have completed a number of qualifications, including Exercise for Older People, Pilates - Matwork, one to one and Remedial with the Pilates Institute UK, I have also attended training workshops with Modern Pilates, Stott Pilates, Fitness Pilates, and I hold a Lifetime Level 3 personal trainer award.
I regularly attend various fitness weekend seminars, workshop updates and online courses, for continued development and ongoing education in fitness, wellness, nutrition and Pilates. I basically never stop learning! It gives me great satisfaction to pass on any knowledge I have to help people move well and be the best that they can be.
I am first aid trained.
